Bucket room assignment: drag unassigned participants straight into rooms 09.06.2026

For operators, house management, planners

The table-based room assignment in the daily occupancy view is great when you want a proposal generated automatically and only need to confirm it. Sometimes, though, you simply want to plan by hand: who goes into which room with whom? For exactly that there is now an additional, standalone page — the bucket room assignment. It does not replace the table; it sits next to it as a second way to plan.

Buckets instead of rows

On the left, one big bucket holds every participant not yet assigned to a room — each with name, age, accommodation category and session. On the right, every available room is its own bucket. Drag a person into a room to plan them in. A participant can only be dropped into rooms of their booked category, so misplacements are impossible.

The room thinks along

The moment someone lands in a room, the room shows whether it is a boys, girls or unisex room, how many beds are taken — and the average age of its occupants. At a glance you see whether the group in the room fits together. Two filters above the buckets help you sort: show only boys or girls rooms, and hide full rooms.

A click on Save assignments writes the current state as a real room allocation — capacity check included. The feature is available immediately and rolls out automatically to every operator. This feature shows its strength where the actual physical spaces are stored in the object.
